Experience in the industry:
More than 30 years' experience sewing (learned to sew from Singer Sewing Company); 25+ years' experience designing and sewing clothes, including design of own wedding gown; 5 years' experience managing a fabric store; 4 years' experience teaching arts and crafts; 10 years' experience in professional interior design; 10 years'  teaching business courses on the college level,  7 years at a vocational high school and 3 ½ years at a high school level.

Professional certifications and licenses:
NYS permanent certification as Business and Distributive Education teacher;
NYS permanent add-on certification as Diversified Cooperative Work Experience Coordinator

Education:
AAS in Travel and Tourism, Herkimer County Community College, 1978;
BS in Business Management and Economics, Russell Sage College 1980:
MS in Vocational Technical Education, SUNY College of Technology at Utica, 1983;
12 additional graduate level credits above MS degree.

Professional, civic, community organizations:
Active member of Capital District Business Teachers Association
